DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY

A Brief History:

The department of zoology was established in 1979. Based on the strength of students on roll, two (02) posts were sanctioned and two regular lecturers are working. Besides teaching and learning activities of zoology, the Dept. of zoology extends its services to the Curricular, Co-Curricular, Extracurricular, Institutional administrative and extension activities of the Institution.

• To impart quality based science education and maintain academic standards to achieve Global competence.
• To provide higher education to a vast majority of population with a unique learner-centric model of education
• Promotion of scientific culture inculcation of scientific temper, scientific spirit, scientific thinking, scientific approach and Exploration of knowledge in modern Bio Techniques.

• To provide conceptual knowledge of subject with the application and its day-to-day relevance.
• To be flexible and accessible to a vast majority of the adult learners.
• Emerging the understanding of the subject through multimedia ICT, OHP, LCD, bio visual charts, etc.
• To motivate and inspire the students to promote them into higher studies.
• To be in the forefront in building human resources by fostering freedom, empowerment, creativity and motivations.
