Department of Chemistry
The Government Degree College, Nagari was established in the year 1978. The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1979-80 and affiliated to S.V. University, Tirupati. At present it has three teaching faculty. The Department prides itself in adopting innovative methods of teaching and learning. It not only concentrates on the academic development the students but also emphasizes on the overall development in personality.

In the final year students study polymer chemistry, instrumental methods of analysis, drugs and analysis of dairy products.

Explain the preparations and properties of halogens, alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids, amides,, carbonyl compounds, amino acids and proteins.
Explain the structures of carbohydrates.
Explain the analytical methods like qualitative, quantitative analysis.
