District Resource Centre (DRC)
The District Resource Centre (DRC) supports adult-literacy, continuing-education and lifelong-learning activities in the surrounding region.
About the Centre
DRC works in coordination with State and District literacy authorities to plan and execute non-formal education programmes. Through teacher-volunteers and student volunteers, it conducts literacy classes, awareness campaigns and skill orientation for adult learners and out-of-school youth.
Objectives
- Promote adult literacy and continuing education in the locality.
- Coordinate non-formal education programmes with district authorities.
- Train teacher-volunteers and student volunteers in literacy work.
- Conduct awareness drives on government schemes and citizen rights.

How Students Can Help
Student volunteers may register with the DRC Coordinator to assist in literacy classes and field visits. Volunteering at the DRC also counts towards community-service credits in the College.
